Here’s All You Need To Know About Audi A1

If you want a compact vehicle bearing a posh badge, then the Audi A1 would be a good choice. Launched initially in 2010, Audi offers this model in six trim levels, which are the SE, Sport, S Line, S Line Competition, S Line Contrast Edition, and S Line Style Edition. Let’s get to know more about this Audi creation here:

1.  Engine
Following the launch of Audi A1, the only engine option is the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol in the 30 TFSI. However, a lower-powered 25 TFSI is in the pipeline. You can also see 1.5 and 2.0-litre options marked at 35 TFSI and 40 TFSI respectively.

2. Design
The broad, low-positioned Singleframe grille as well as the side air inlets define the exclusive façade of the Audi A1. The optional full-LED lights have daytime running light graphics, which replicate the dynamic wing shapes called hydrofoils. A concentrated, low-set look blended beautifully with the fine rhombus segments in the topmost part of the headlights lends a sporty look to the Audi A1.

3. Comfort
The Audi A1 provides an ample amount of space. This means that there is additional comfort for everyone in the car—the driver, front-seat passengers, and rear-seat passengers. The compact dimensions have a roomy trunk measuring 335 liters. When you fold down the back seats, the total load volume increases up to 1,090 liters. That’s just the ideal storage space you need for a two-person trip.

4.  Digital features
The Audi A1 comes with a cluster of digital features. A high-resolution 10.25-inch display and a multifunction steering wheel come as standard in all trim levels. Additionally, the Audi virtual cockpit is optional and comes with extended functionality displays. You can get all-comprehensive, real-time information, such as graphics of some driver assistance systems and animated navigation maps. The vehicle comes with an optional MMI Navigation with MMI touch infotainment system. You can control this through a 10.1-inch touch display by voice commands or in the center console.

5. Fuel economy
Fuel consumption of the Audi A1’s the 1.0-litre three-cylinder 30 TFSI model is seen to be as low as 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers. However, no details are available on the fuel economy of the 35 TFSI and 40 TFSI models till now.
